Mediators are required to complete a minimum of sixteen (16) hours of Continuing Mediator Education (CME), including: two (2) hours of Interpersonal Violence for Circuit and County Mediators and four (4) hours of Interpersonal Violence for Family and Dependency Mediators, four (4) hours of Ethics, one (1) hour of Diversity. Remaining hours can be satisfied with courses of General mediation application such as caucus, impasse, and apologies. All programs are approved by the Florida Bar for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) as well as Continuing Education for mental health professionals (CEU) credits.
MTG offers four (4) different one (1)-day programs on a monthly rotation to make it easy for attendees to collect all required continuing education credits through live, interactive, online programs. All programs are on Zoom.
Program A is offered in January, May, and September, and includes two (2) hours of Interpersonal Violence, four (4) hours of Ethics, one (1) hour of Diversity, and one (1) hour of General credit.
Program B is offered in February, June, and October, and includes two (2) hours of Interpersonal Violence and four (4) hours of Ethics, one (1) hour of Diversity, and one (1) General/Technology credit.
Program C is offered in March, July, and November, and includes two (2) hours of Interpersonal Violence (IPV) and four (4) hours of Ethics, one (1) hour Diversity and (1) hour of General credit.
Program D is offered in April, August, and December, and includes two (2) hours of Interpersonal Violence and three (3) hours of Ethics, one (1) hour of Diversity and one (1) General/Technology credit.
