This is a half-day live/interactive course, with five (5.0) CME/CLE General Hours and one (1) CME/CLE Ethics Hour runs from 9:00am – 1:30pm. This program provides more advanced skills for County mediators who haven’t attended or mediated hundreds of cases. It focuses on how mediating larger County cases differs from mediating smaller disputes. We’ll cover the impact attorneys have on the process and on the mediator, how to handle larger-dollar math, and how to manage party empowerment when only one party has counsel. We’ll also cover attorneys’ fees issues, ethical pressures on the mediator, multiparty litigation, and additional confounding factors. This is a “must” for non-attorney mediators.
