LET’S TALK ABOUT CH. 720 HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION MEDIATIONS
This is a 2.5-hour CME/CLE course from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Zoom. It provides 2.5 General CME and 2.0 CME Ethics hours, and is approved for 2.5 CLE General, 2.0 CLE Ethics, and .5 CLE Mental Health and Wellness Hours for Attorneys. Through a look at Ch. 720, case examples, and MEAC Opinions, this program covers how to navigate HOA mediations, how to focus on participant self-determination and mediator impartiality, and the importance of not giving advice or expressing an opinion. The conflicts between Ch. 720 (the HOA statute), and Ch. 44 and the Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators raise difficult questions.
