Michael Bloom, Esq.

Michael Bloom has been practicing law in Florida since 1991 and has been a certified mediator since 2003.

He is Board Certified in Real Estate law by The Florida Bar and has extensive experience in the field of alternative dispute resolution.

Mike is certified by the Florida Supreme Court in all areas of mediation: county, circuit, dependency and family. Additionally, he has taken advanced training in elder law mediation and is a qualified arbitrator. He is also a contract mediator for the Broward County courts as well as the United States Postal Service.

Mike was born in New York but raised in South Florida. He attended the University of South Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Studies and St. Thomas University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor.

He is happily married and enjoys travel and photography in his free time.

Liz Bradshaw, MS

Liz Bradshaw has over 20 years of experience working with law enforcement and victims of crime in South Florida for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. As a certified Victim Advocate for the State of Florida and a member of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Special Victims Unit since 1998, Liz has assisted investigators with thousands of cases and victims at both the State and Federal levels. Although cross-trained in all types of crimes, Liz’s expertise includes the areas of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and stalking. Liz was responsible for establishing and continues to facilitate the Department’s Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team.

Liz is also a member, training facilitator, and the mental health consultant for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Crisis/Hostage Negotiation Team. Liz is also involved in the management of critical/hostage incidents, participating in high level briefings as well as planning, establishing, monitoring policy and procedural changes within her agency.

In 2014, Liz was commended by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for her role in the prosecution of multiple defendants in a human trafficking/sexual battery of multiple minor victims’ cases. In 2015, Liz was recognized by the Broward County Victim’s Rights Coalition and also by the Broward County Crime Commission for her work as a Victim Advocate. In 2017, received her Subject Matter Expert Certificate from the Florida State Courts Dispute Resolution Center.

Liz received her bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 1996 and her Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 1998. As such, Liz meets the FDLE requirement to be an instructor in the State of Florida.

Liz is a long-term member of the Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT), the Palm Beach Chapter of Marriage & Family Therapists, the Broward County Victims’ Rights Coalition, the Broward County Domestic Violence Council, Florida Association for Hostage Negotiators (FAHN), and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF).
Additionally, Liz is a mentor and support person for the Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) family support program that provides services to the surviving children and families of Officers killed in the line of duty. Liz annually attends National Police Week to volunteer her time to work with the children who are part of the C.O.P.S. KIDS/TEENS program.
